Americans for Prosperity Urges Support for Privacy Protections
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Americans for Prosperity-South Dakota (AFP-SD) today urged lawmakers to support legislation that will protect freedom of expression in South Dakota.
AFP-SD State Director Don Haggar issued the following statement:
“South Dakotans have the right to freely support causes and join together in groups without being monitored by the government. HB 1079 and SB 103 will reaffirm that critical right and makes it easier for people to amplify their voices through charities and similar community organizations dedicated to the issues they’re passionate about.
“We thank Governor Kristi Noem for championing privacy protections and urge the legislature to support these meaningful safeguards for citizens across the Mount Rushmore state. This is a critical moment for our state and protecting our foundational rights clears the way for Americans to work together to solve the challenges ahead of us.”
